- Talks are underway with Apunipima Cape York Health Council, Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service, newly formed Torres Health Indigenous Corporation and Alliance partners Northern QLD PHN and Queensland Aboriginal and Islander Health Council about the My health for life program being delivered in the Cape and Torres Strait this year. The program has been keen to build on its engagement with communities within the Cape and Torres and explore how the program could best benefit local populations and support their health needs. The groups have been discussing content modules, facilitator training and innovation to support program delivery. An announcement about how the program will proceed is expected shortly.
- The program farewelled Kelly Williams and welcomed Zoe Argeros as the new Risk Assessment Team Leader based with the Stroke Foundation.
- Engagement and health check activity for 2019 has begun with visits to the Western Downs, Western Queensland, Mackay, Wide Bay and North Queensland.
- Workplace programs are well underway with activity occurring in several government agencies and positive leads are currently being with several external organisations.
