a great option

Considering the number of shift workers such as hospitality workers health care and emergency personnel in Queensland, phone-based coaching is a great option for those who are looking for a lifestyle program that works well with their life!
My health for life can now offer phone based to eligible participants anywhere in the state and currently has more than 100 participants, including nurses, busy stay-at-home mums and even a farmer.
Phone coaching works well for people who are wanting anonymity, privacy, or flexible program dates and times.
By special arrangement, the phone coaches have even scheduled calls at 7.30am or in the evening to help participants meet their program commitments.
Program director Lyn Hamill said My health for life was designed around consumer needs and expectations, so providing options to maximise program access has always been important.
She said phone coaching allowed people to complete the My health for life program in the comfort of their own home or on the go, removing any barriers of travel and distance. The group-based program suits those who prefer face-to-face appointments. The group sessions offer social support and brings together people with similar health goals to navigate the journey together.
A workplace program is also in development and will be piloted at the end of the year then released across the state next year. This new component will further maximise options for program delivery.
